Make room for who you are now.
Therapy for changing beliefs, relationships, and the life taking shape around you.
Let’s Talk
KERRY YONUSHONIS, LCSW
Let’s make space
for the questions.
The life you are living can start to feel different from the life you were taught to want.
You might be rethinking a belief you grew up with, finding your footing after a loss, or noticing that an old way of responding no longer fits. You do not have to have it all sorted out before talking about it.
I work with adults who want to look at those patterns with curiosity. Together, we can explore what matters to you now and the coping skills that may help you through change.
A little about how I work ↗WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE
Something is changing.
You get to ask what comes next.
Sometimes there is an obvious turning point. Sometimes the questions have been with you for years. We can start with the part that feels most present.

What still feels true?
Look at the messages you inherited about faith, relationships, and who you are supposed to be.
Explore Inherited Beliefs ↗

Life Transitions ↗LIFE TRANSITIONS
When the old map
doesn’t fit.
A relationship ends. You become a parent. A death changes the shape of your days. A career or health change asks something of you that you have not faced before.
Along with the practical changes, you may find yourself questioning beliefs about family, success, commitment, or what it means to be a good person. Grief can bring questions about faith. A new relationship can reveal an old expectation.
- Starting over after a relationship changes
- Grief and the questions that come with loss
- Parenthood, identity, and a different daily life
- Making choices that reflect your present values
These are conversations we can have without needing to make the experience smaller or explain it away.

HOW I WORK
Curiosity, with
something practical.
I use mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, and conversation about the patterns that shape your life. My approach includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and emotionally focused therapy.
Notice what you learned.
We can look at inherited beliefs and family patterns, including the ones that once helped you feel connected or certain.
Explore what fits today.
There is room to question what you were taught and consider the meaning and values that matter to you now.
Make room for everyday life.
Coping skills, mindfulness, and emotional regulation can be part of our work as you face the changes in front of you.
COUPLES THERAPY
Two people.
A changing relationship.
One of you may be questioning a faith you once shared. A parent’s death may be affecting the relationship in ways neither of you expected. A life transition can change how you understand yourselves and each other.
I offer couples sessions for relationships affected by transitions and life events. There is space to talk about what has changed, what each of you is experiencing, and what you want to understand together.
Couples sessions are 50 minutes and $250. We can discuss fit and next steps during a consultation.

ATHLETES & MINDSET
There’s a person
behind the performance.
Training and competition can be a meaningful part of your life. They can also bring questions about focus, expectations, injury, and the beliefs that shape how you see yourself.
As an open-water marathon swimmer, I know that athletics can be personal. In therapy, we can explore the mindset and life changes connected with your athletic goals, including what happens when the familiar rhythm changes.
This is therapy with a licensed clinical social worker. It is a place to talk about the person and the patterns around the athletic life.

YOU MAY BE WONDERING
A few things
to know.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to work on?
You can start with a question, a change in your life, or a pattern you keep noticing. The initial consultation is a chance to talk about what you are looking for.
Is this only about leaving religion?
No. Inherited beliefs can involve religion, relationships, politics, family expectations, and how you think you are supposed to live. We can explore the questions that matter to you.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults 18 and older, including young adults, and offer individual and couples sessions. Therapy is provided by video in Texas and Colorado.
Can we talk about grief or a major transition?
Yes. Grief, relationship changes, parenthood, and other life transitions are part of my work. These experiences may also bring older beliefs and emotional patterns into view.
Do you offer groups?
Group options are being developed. Ask about current availability and details during the consultation before making plans to attend.
How do I find out the cost?
The consultation is free for 15 minutes. We will discuss individual rates before scheduling. Couples sessions are $250 for 50 minutes, and superbills are available.
